Course Synopsis

Learning Objectives:
• To be capable making diagnosis of Graves’ disease, initiate anti-thyroid therapy in primary care
• To be aware of an approach to patients with subclinical, drug- induced, secondary hyper-/hypothyroidism
• To be capable to make diagnosis of hypothyroidism, initiate and manage thyroid replacement therapy
• To understand diagnosis of autoimmune thyroiditis and to interpret reports of thyroid antibodies
• To be aware of particularities of managing hyper-/hypothyroidism in pregnancy
• To be familiar with an approach to patients with discordant thyroid tests
• To be aware of shared care guidelines on Liothyronine for the combination treatment along with
Levothyroxine
